Matsumoto City in Nagano Prefecture is the gateway to the Northern Alps and has plentiful outdoor sites.
We want to take advantage of this location and make Matsumoto the world's best outdoor site.
The ALPS OUTDOOR SUMMIT will serve as a hub to make Matsumoto an international city
that outdoor manufacturers and outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world aspire to visit.

First of all, we wanted to discuss the outdoor activities, not in the city, but in a place close to the outdoor sites. Also, we decided to hold the event in Matsumoto, the gateway to the Northern Alps and a city that values crafts, because by doing so, we thought that both visitors and exhibitors would be inspired. And it could affect positively the future of the outdoor industry. Based here in Matsumoto, we would be delighted if we could create an opportunity to enjoy Nagano's wonderful nature and to touch the souls of the manufacturers.

Manufacturers' Booths

The event will bring together domestic and international camping and mountaineering manufacturers who have mastered craftsmanship. There will also be overseas manufacturers exhibiting for the first time in Japan. They will share their philosophies, and exhibit and sell their products. Please come and feel their "passion for craftsmanship".

Talk Show

Keynote speeches by top designers who are visiting Japan for the first time and talk shows by celebrities who are well-versed in the outdoor industry. The show will cover unique themes such as the current state of the outdoor industry and Japanese gear from overseas perspectives.

Mini booths for outdoor culture

Manufacturers and companies that convey outdoor culture will gather in the perimeter area inside the dome. They will bring a perspective to the event that is not about the gear. Books, films, websites, and other products to enjoy outdoor will be on display and for sale.

Crafts and Workshops

We will be holding workshops for children and adults including fallen leaf art, tent art, outdoor tea ceremony (Nodate), bonfire and more! Visitors will learn about craftsmanship while having fun. Experience the joy of creating something while feeling the ""craftsmanship"" inside of you.

Food Area

Food and drinks filled with craftsmanship such as smoked products and brick oven pizzas, sweets, craft beer, etc. will be served at the food trucks. Please enjoy the richness of food nurtured by the nature of Nagano Prefecture and products packed with the owner's passion.
