Woolpower’s merino wool clothing originated with a material called Ullfrotté, which was developed in the 1960s. In Sweden at that time, there was a problem of soldiers in the Swedish Armed Forces losing their lives in the line of duty due to the severe cold. In response, military personnel, scientists, and entrepreneurs worked together to develop a better clothing material called Ullfrotté.
The technology is applied to Woolpower products, resulting in merino wool clothing that is soft to the touch, comfortable, and warm enough to retain body heat in any environment. Production is carried out at the factory in the town of Östersund in northern Sweden, as it has been since the company’s inception.
In order to continue to produce high-quality products, they have chosen to produce their products in Sweden. With pride and responsibility for Swedish quality, they continue to explore the possibilities of merino wool clothing.

The fabric is made from originally developed Ullfrotté Original 400 and this unique knitting method improves heat retention and moisture absorbency. It also prevents the body from getting cold due to moisture such as sweating. It is soft and comfortable to wear without the itchy feeling characteristic of wool. The turtleneck and sleeves with thumbholes are also designed for warmth in every detail.
