A private brand from Yoshida Kigata Seisakusyo inc., established in 1935 in Hirokawa-machi, Yame-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. In casting, molten iron is poured into a mold, cooled, and hardened into the desired shape, and Yoshida Kigata Seisakusyo makes the molds for these products. The WEEKENDER series is manufactured by such a long-established moldmaker, who is responsible for all planning, manufacturing, and sales. The reliable quality, functionality, and stylish design have attracted a lot of attention, and the brand is still gaining popularity 10 years after its establishment.

What is (READYMADE)PRODUCTS's craftsmanship?

Imagination and Creation

The WEEKENDER series is the result of craftsmanship that imagines 100 years into the future and will last until the generations of our children and grandchildren. Embedded in this is the creator’s desire to “see the users’ smiles beyond the production line.”

Originally, Yoshida Kigata Seisakusho made all kinds of casting molds, mainly for industrial use.
When Managing Director Izumi Yoshida, daughter of the former president, was considering new business development in response to the changing times, she came up with Dutch ovens.

This challenge provided an opportunity for craftspeople, who normally deliver molds and never see the final form, to bring together their skills and knowledge to create something, and to let the world know what they have created.
It was also an opportunity to solidify the pride of the craftspeople who had inherited their skills.

This product, created out of a desire to think of the user and to preserve traditional techniques, has brought many smiles to the faces of both the user and the maker.

Brand's Signature Gear

WEEKENDER ROUND

A compact cast iron Dutch oven that continues to be their best-selling product even 10 years after the brand’s establishment. It is an excellent tool for simmering, baking and steaming in a single unit, and the lid can also be used as a skillet by itself. The special coating eliminates the need for seasoning before and after use. It can be used with a variety of heat sources, including direct flame, gas, and induction.
