NORRØNA

A Norwegian outdoor brand founded in 1929. Based on the brand philosophy of "pursuing the best technology and delivering products with ultimate performance," the brand develops high-function, high-quality clothing and gear that can cope with the severe and harsh natural environment of the Arctic Circle area. The logo is based on the motif of the Mountain Soldier (Viking), a hero of Norway in Scandinavia.

What is NORRØNA's craftsmanship?

Loaded Minimalism, pursuing clean design and advanced functionality in all possible ways.

Jørgen Jørgensen, a Norwegian outdoor enthusiast, founded NORRØNA in 1929 with a mission to develop durable outdoor products that could be used in Norway’s harsh and extreme natural environment.

More than 90 years after its founding, NORRØNA remains a family business with the fourth generation of the Jørgensen family of enthusiastic outdoorsmen taking over as president.

At such a warm and home-like production site, the scenery has remained unchanged since the company’s establishment; believing in the tradition of craftsmanship, the design, sewing, cutting, and other processes are done by hand; professionals from various fields come and go in the development room to test NORRØNA products.

Even as they have expanded the scale of their business, they have not broken the basic form of manufacturing to produce the highest quality products, and they simply continue to adhere to their philosophy.

Continuously pursuing the ideal design and functionality as much as possible is a never-ending challenge. This ambition is what makes their products of quality that fascinate the world.

The jacket, originally the top-of-the-line model in the NORRØNA mountain collection, has been upgraded for the Norwegian mountain security trooper.

Brand's Signature Gear

trollveggen Gore-Tex Pro rescue Jacket

This jacket, originally the top-of-the-line model in the NORRØNA mountain collection, has been upgraded for use by Norwegian mountain security troopers. The ergonomic cut was made to allow more efficient movement, and durability was improved by designing fewer seams and minimizing the number of external parts. The product is named after “trollveggen,” Norway’s famous 1000m class north face, expressing its durability and functionality to support climbers even in difficult environments.
