KLATTERMUSEN

An outdoor brand from Åre, Sweden, the largest mountain resort in Scandinavia. The brand's products have been appreciated by many adventurers for over 40 years since its establishment. They have their own ideas about the environment, such as "manufacturing as little as possible" and "making things that don't need to be thrown away," and pursue the best solution for coexisting with nature while maintaining a high level of safety.

What is KLATTERMUSEN's craftsmanship?

Maximum safety for you, minimum impact on nature.

KLATTERMUSEN began when founder Peter Askulv modified already existing gear to make it more user-friendly for himself. This DIY spirit has been carried over to the present day and underpins their approach to manufacturing and their environmentally friendly business activities.

They seek handmade precision in their craftsmanship. They have taken something that already exists and transformed it into a form that suits them and their environment through DIY. This has led to the current awareness of “making things less likely to break” and “reinforcing their functions,” and has become a source of wisdom for creating safer products.

And they have a way of thinking that is not typical of manufacturers: The best thing we can do for the environment is not to make things. Do we really need to make something new? Can we improve on what we already have?
They always face manufacturing with these questions in mind. This way of thinking must have its origin in the DIY spirit that has existed since the company’s founding.

Maximum safety for you, minimum impact on nature.
This policy, which has been in place since the company’s founding, is the very essence of their craftsmanship.

Brand's Signature Gear

Ansur Hooded Wind Jacket

This 100% organic cotton wind shell is the result of considering the question, “What is a truly comfortable product to wear in nature?” KLATTERMUSE’s proprietary Katla® organic cotton is a performance cotton fabric that uses the bionics principles of natural processes to add properties to cotton similar to synthetic chemical fibers. While achieving high durability, it is also breathable, windproof, and waterproof, so it can be used in a variety of situations, from daily use to casual trekking and camping.
