LALPHA is an outdoor brand born from a long-established company, Swallow Industry, founded over 70 years ago in Tsubame-Sanjo, known as a manufacturing town. LALPHA is a coined word that combines "LIFE" and "+ALPHA". Using traditional metalworking techniques cultivated over many years, they create products that allow people to feel closer to nature in their daily lives and to enjoy nature more in the outdoors.

Originally, Swallow Industry has been manufacturing products for snow damage prevention and solar system mounting brackets for residential use in Niigata, where it snows heavily. The company is based in Tsubame-Sanjo, a town known for its craftsmanship. The LALPHA products produced by this long-established company feature many fine innovations that make using tools fun. This product was born out of the desire to have fire scissors that are easy to use at campfires and to make them an exciting item to take with you. These are the ultimate fire scissors, capable of grabbing, holding, and pulling something out. They have a spring to support the opening and closing motion, making it easy to grab firewood. By attaching a hook, not only grabbing, but also lifting and pulling-out motions become possible.
