GOSSAMER GEAR is an UL (ultralight) outdoor manufacturer founded in Carlsbad, California in 1998. Founder Glen Van Peski created a lightweight, functional hiking sack for himself and his friends. It quickly became popular and has since become a pioneer in UL. The brand name, Gossamer, means spider silk or transparent thin wings.

A hiking sack that has been improved from the first model G1 created by the founder, Glen. It weighs only 709g and has a 42L capacity. The bag is made of lightweight, water-repellent, stain-resistant, and durable Robic nylon. It is also water-resistant thanks to the DWR treatment. The asymmetrical side pockets, removable sit pad on the back, and other detailed gimmicks make this one of the brand’s signature products.
