ALTRA
ALTRA is a running shoe manufacturer in Utah, USA. The company was founded in 2011 by Brian Beckstead, a runner himself, and Golden Harper, a former U.S. national long-distance runner. Runnung shoes with Zero Drop, which is synonymous with ALTRA and eliminates the height difference between the heel and toe portions, and Foot Shape, meaning that the shoe fits the shape of foot, have been sold under the same concept since the company's founding.

A former national long-distance runner and manager of a shop for running gears etc., Golden was feeling uncomfortable with the idea of selling shoes that would overturn the natural running style he had been teaching. He wanted to create a more natural running experience, and runners to be able to enjoy the outdoors and sports for the rest of their lives without injury. In order to realize this vision, he started modifying existing shoes, and that was the beginning of ALTRA.
Gradually, the modified shoes became popular. They brought about a clear improvement for runners with injuries and for users who had given up on running. He and his childhood friend Brian, also a runner, founded the ALTRA shoe brand.
