FEDECA

FEDECA is a knife brand based on a long-established tool and knife manufacturer founded in 1895 in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture. Since its launch in 2015, FEDECA has been producing most of the major parts of its knives, from blades to handles and screws, in-house. This allows for complex processing and colorful handle combinations, resulting in products that are unlike anything that has come before.

What is FEDECA's craftsmanship?

Creating a culture of playing with knives.

Japan is a country that has nurtured a world-class culture of edged tools, including the Japanese sword. In recent years, however, the use of edged tools in daily life has declined as they have been replaced by more convenient and safer tools. Furthermore, the distance between nature and us, the source of our life, seems more distant these days. From the personal issues of maintaining one’s physical and mental health to the larger environmental issues, there may be many problems that can be solved by a closer relationship with nature.

FEDECA craftsmen and brand staff all create products with one belief in mind: to contribute to a better society by creating a culture of playing with knives.

FEDECA believes that the true value of nature cannot be appreciated simply by looking at it, and that it is only through the primitive acts of cutting wood and preparing freshly caught fish that we can connect closely with nature. To this end, it is necessary to create safe blades that people will want to pick up and exciting experiences using them.
This is something that only this company, with its eye on the future of knives, can do.

Today, they continue to pursue new values of knives, entrusting a single blade with the potential to change the future.

Brand's Signature Gear

Forged Batoning Machete

Is batoning for bonfires the role of the father…? This product overturns the stereotype with a machete that allows the whole family to enjoy bonfires together. The tip is not pointed, making it safe for even beginners to use. The 6 mm thick forged blade is hard to chip and allows you to chop firewood without putting much effort into it. The center of gravity of the blade tip is also carefully designed to make it easy to sharpen wood even for those who are not familiar with knife work.
