A handmade bag brand developed by Tsuchimoto Jitensha bicycle shop, a cycle sports expert and mechanic with more than 10 years of experience. Inabu-cho, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, is a small town in the mountains, located on the border of Aichi, Gifu, and Nagano Prefectures. The bags produced here through repeated field tests are tough enough to withstand the harsh environment and well-designed for daily use.

Field testing while living
SALT WORKS products are created by Tsuchimoto Jitensha, a bicycle specialty store. In the small mountain town of Inabu-cho, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, bicycle professionals design their products from the perspective of cutting out unnecessary elements. They produce simple bags that users feel they use because they are easy to use.
And their craftsmanship is literally “field-testing while living.”
Inabu winters can reach minus 10°C in the mornings and evenings, with temperatures not exceeding 0°C during the day. The products they produce have been repeatedly tested and improved in this severe environment. The opening of the sacoche is a roll-top type, because they know that it is more resistant to breakage and can be used for a long time, rather than a zipper that becomes stiff in the cold. They also realized during their testing that such a bag, with nowhere to break, would give them a sense of security in a harsh environment.
The environment in which they can reflect the insights and realizations gained in the field in their products and create satisfactory products is what they are proud of and what supports their uncompromising manufacturing.

Roll-Top Sacoche
A roll-top type sacoche without a zipper, which is prone to breakage in winter. The brand’s wish is that people will use it for a long time and become attached to it. The fabric is made of a lightly water-repellent salt shrink-processed nylon. It has the look and feel of a canvas bag, and can be used not only for outdoor activities but also blends in well with everyday clothing. The For Cyclist Model has a waist belt and is designed to prevent slipping when cycling or trekking.
